Installation manual

If air, moisture or dust gets in the water circuit, problems may occur.

Therefore, always take into account the following when connecting

the water circuit:

■ Use clean pipes only.

■ Hold the pipe end downwards when removing burrs.

■ Cover the pipe end when inserting it through a wall so that no

dust and dirt enter.

■ Use a good thread sealant for the sealing of the connections.

■ When using non-brass metallic piping, make sure to insulate

both materials from each other to prevent galvanic corrosion.

■ Because brass is a soft material, use appropriate tooling for

connecting the water circuit. Inappropriate tooling will cause

damage to the pipes.

■ Select piping diameter in relation to required water ﬂow and

available external static pressure of the pump.

■ The minimum required water ﬂow for the indoor unit operation is

16 l/min. When the water ﬂow is lower than this minimum value,

ﬂow error 7H will be displayed and the operation of the indoor

unit will be stopped.

Precautions when connecting ﬁeld piping and regarding

insulation

The complete water circuit, inclusive all piping, must be insulated to

prevent reduction of the heating capacity.

If the indoor ambient temperature is higher than 30°C and the

humidity is higher than RH 80% then the thickness of the insulation

materials should be at least 20 mm in order to avoid condensation on

the surface of the insulation.

WARNING

It is strongly recommended to install an additional ﬁlter on

the heating water circuit. Especially to remove metallic

particles from the ﬁeld heating piping, it is advised to use a

magnetic or cyclone ﬁlter which can remove small

particles. Small particles can damage the unit and will not

be removed by the standard ﬁlter of the heat pump unit.

NOTICE

■ Consider carefully the installation location of the

ﬂexible water inlet pipe.

■ According to the direction of the water ﬂow, the water

ﬁlter must be positioned as shown in the ﬁgure.

■ Provide sufﬁcient space allowing easy access to

clean the water ﬁlter and regular operation check of

the safety valve.

■ Provide a ﬂexible hose for pressure relief valve blow-

off (ﬁeld supply).

■ Consider to support the water inlet pipe and water

outlet pipe so not to stress the ﬁeld piping.

It is very important to keep good visibility of the

manometer. The position of the manometer can be

changed as shown in the ﬁgure below. Make sure that the

capillary tube does not come in contact with sharp edges

and prevent bending of the capillary tube as much as

possible.

■ Change the position of the manometer when piping is

on the left side of the unit

■ Mounting of the manometer against a wall (the 2

screws are ﬁeld supply).
